Action on Elder Abuse (AEA) Scotland works to protect vulnerable older people from harm and abuse. They support those experiencing (or at risk of) harm and abuse, as well as raising awareness and advocating effective prevention.
Service Description
Action on Elder Abuse has a helpline in Scotland for anyone concerned about harm or abuse of an older person. The Elder Abuse helpline can offer free and impartial advice and support on:
- financial harm or exploitation
- physical abuse
- emotional or psychological abuse
- sexual harm or abuse
- neglect

Opening Times: 9.00 am – 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday
It is free and confidential to call. Anyone can call the helpline – whether you are at risk or experiencing harm or are worried about someone else.
