MELD (Mid and East Lothian Drugs)
MELD provides locally accessible, confidential and non-judgemental services to promote recovery and reduce substance misuse related harm to individuals, families and the wider community.
Service Description
The service provides confidential advice, information and counselling skills approach for substance users, their families and friends; a comprehensive assessment in order to determine peoples’ needs; strong partnerships with other agencies in order to deliver holistic, person-centred support to help people achieve their goals.
In addition to ME:D’s core services, MELD provides:
- a peer support service offering motivational interventions and supports
- a needle exchange service
- SMART meetings
- Auricular Acupuncture
