Stepping Out aims to help improve the lives of people with mental health difficulties through activities that they choose.
Referrals can be taken from health and social work professionals and relevant voluntary organisations.
Some of the activities people choose to do are:
- art classes
- healing garden sessions
Stepping Out has the use of a small garden in Musselburgh. The produce from the garden is used for their lunch and supper clubs.
The Stepping Out Summer House hosts events such as:
- gym and swim classes
- lunch clubs
- supper clubs
Stepping Out works in partnership with East Lothian schools and staff by providing mental health workshops which challenge prejudice and stigma around mental health.
