Description

Carers of East Lothian (CoEL) supports unpaid carers to access information and services to make their caring role more sustainable and to enhance their health and wellbeing.

The Carer Support Workers will work closely with your to support you across a wide range of issues. This support could range from giving information and advice about health and social care services to assist with assessments and care planning as part of Self Directed Support.

The team can support carers with housing concerns or adaptations, future planning, finding ways to combine caring and employment, and with exploring how they can manage the person they care for’s health problems etc. They can also support you with the sometimes difficult emotional impact of changing relationships with the person they care for.
