Description
Listening Peers is a peer mentoring service for young people who have been affected by the alcohol and drug use of others. Through the service, young people who have received Bridges Project support and who have lived experience of being affected by substance misuse provides support to other young people in a similar situation.
Listening Peers provides them with respite from challenging living conditions at home, a supportive role model who listens and gives them confidence, help to tackle feelings of stigma and discrimination as well as first-hand advice on overcoming challenges and accessing other appropriate services.
