- People aged between 16 – 65 years old (if someone reaches 65 whilst being supported by Neighbourhood Networks, the team would continue to support them for as long as it is appropriate).

Description
Neighbourhood Networks support vulnerable adults many with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health issues to live an active, healthy life, within their own homes and be fully involved within their local communities. Their members are learning essential life skills, becoming more independent whilst spending more time with friends and becoming less reliant on paid support.
Their work is person-centred and its values firmly rooted in enhancing diversity, creating social justice and ensuring that every person is able to lead the life of their choice in order to become all that they can and want to be. Neighbourhood Networks’ aims and objectives are to work with local communities to support and empower even more people who could benefit from this flexible model of support.
There are currently 5 networks across East Lothian including Musselburgh, Tranent, Haddington, Dunbar and a Musselburgh Transitions network.

There is currently space within some of the networks but this changes on a regular basis. Please contact Neighbourhood Networks for more informaiton.
