PASDA

Who is this for?

  • Parents, partners, siblings and carers of autistic adults aged 16 years old and over

Description

Pasda aims to improve the health and wellbeing of family carers of autistic adults in Edinburgh and the Lothians through peer support, information and activities.

The Listening Ears project aims to support carers of autistic adults with regular, timely phone calls. This service gives carers the opportunity to speak to someone outside of their family about the experiences and challenges they face. Information is available from a friendly and understanding voice.

How do I access this?

By contacting the Pasda team by email or phone.

Is there a cost?

There is no cost to carers  for help and support from Pasda.

However, if you want to become a member, the annual subscription fee is £8 per individual or £10 per family.   Membership allows you to be part of the Annual General Meeting to elect trustees and comment on the annual report. The subscription contributes to cover costs such as venue hire, meeting refreshments and promotional events.

Is there a waiting list?

There is currently no waiting list, however, due to the current pandemic, it may take up to 72 hours for us to return your call.
